A Social Experiment for People's Kafe

Dear Readers,

Am grateful that you’ve been instrumental in co-creating my third book of the “People’s Kafe” series, “People’s Kafe – A little book of Epiphany”.

As part of a social experiment that I launched earlier this year, some of you graciously volunteered to be part of beta testing for this journal. Each one of my volunteers went through the process of art themed guided journaling for a week. Through this experiment, I asked the volunteers to reflect on some of my art pieces and journal the emotions that gazing at art evoked in them. This process of introspection was gratifying for most volunteers who told me that they experienced positive emotions in form of repressed or lost memories from past, yearnings of secret dreams, greater self awareness of latent emotions through daily expression and a fleeting sense of calm. They associated with art, the people and places whom they had lost connection with, pleasant moments from childhood, and came to terms with their own creative, mellifluous side.

It was indeed heartening for me to know that what started as a hobby to channel my inner desires had profound effect on my audience. I d like to extend my heartfelt thanks to my volunteers who gave me real feedback on the potential of this art themed guided journal.

I hope through this work of mine, you will also experience what I call as “Positive Emotionality”, a natural state of equilibrium arising out of deep reflection and expression. I’d love to hear your feedback on this journal, it has so far been my most ambitious project!
