People’s Kafe – A little book of Epiphany

Art has a way of healing. And this I can say by my own little indulgence in art over the course of last two years that also happened to be the two years since pandemic threw a curveball at us. When I explore my relationship with art, I unraveled how it became a way to relive my bank of memories. Mainly my reminiscences of travel that I’d attribute to wanderlust that piled up owing to many canceled travel plans, blame it on covid! When home became the only place to find solace and harmony, I turned to my garden for inspiration from flowers that bloomed generously round the year, in the three gardens we nurture. Taking some time out from my day for a walk in my garden became a ritual to live by, for the sheer joy that connecting with sky, stars, moons, birds and flowers emanated.

The idea behind this journal was to amalgamate my art and reflections to create white space for my readers to channel their innermost emotions, transcending into a cathartic state of bliss. Each of my illustrations in this journal was hand painted, with love and inspiration. And in sharing my works of art with you, I hope to be able to transmit the same joy and fulfillment that creating it gave me, to you.

Wonderfully written to paint the picture of the event in front of the reader and the reader can't keep herself away from becoming the part of the story. The best companion for anyone who like to enjoy your hot chocolate sitting in the patio with book in her hand.

The warm & compassionate tone gives it a human touch while personalizing the experience for the reader. Each story has a nugget for you - teasing you to expand your own boundaries of perseverance, belief and faith. My personal favourites are Radha Aunty and Sharma ji...I do hope to bump into them some day! An effortless and easy read - a big yes for you to pick this up, sit back and enjoy your cup of coffee at People’s Kafe!

I liked the simple stories, experiences and interpretations of the author from her life incidences that can make you take a pause and think. Readers who like light stories and love to read about human behaviour and experiences would enjoy reading the book. It has set of real life stories that has shaped the author’s life choices and rewired her thoughts to a better human kind and human mind.

An effective writer is able to distil complex thoughts and ideas into simple, clear language that's quickly and easily understood by others. This valuable quality helps them tackle even the densest subject matter by breaking it down into uncomplicated pieces.

The most faithful bond we make is the bond with self. This book gives us all the material (cement, concrete, steel and blueprint) to make lasting bridge with our inner self. With this guided journal we get an opportunity to have a very honest conversation with ourself and when we jot down those pictures in words, we give shape to our imaginations, they become permanent and stay with us forever. Begin your own journey now. You already have my good advice, all you need to get is your own copy of this book😊

I am really enjoying the stories. They are a therapy for me after a really busy day. Reminds me of good old school days where we used to borrow books from the library and read them for the pure joy. Thank you for compiling them 😊

The vivid language instantly transported me into the world she described in this book. A story of the girl from Lucknow to being a Mumbaikar, about her personal life to professional life. The way of describing and writing story is awesome.

Really liked reading your book. Took me back to my old memories of visiting my parent during holidays. Thea beautiful memories of house, courtyard, garden, nature…and those carefree ties with parents. You have an excellent flare for writing. Keep it coming!

These experiments of yours have helped me unravel a side of mine that I had not known before. I think these exercises of yours have made me express what I had never told to myself in the past. Helps me to know myself better.
